2016 Los Angeles Rams season

The 2016 Los Angeles Rams season was the franchise's 79th season in the National Football League and the fifth and final under head coach Jeff Fisher. It was the franchise's 50th season in the Greater Los Angeles Area and the first since 1994. The team returned to Los Angeles after 21 seasons in St. Louis. The Rams decided from 2016 to 2019 to return to wearing white uniforms at home in Los Angeles as a nod to the Fearsome Foursome era. In Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks, their NFC West divisional rival, the Rams wore white horns on their helmet just for the one game only, a move which would be repeated for the entire following season. The 2016 season saw the Rams attempting to improve upon their 7–9 record from 2015. After a surprising 3–1 start, the Rams would massively struggle in the second half, going 1–11 in their final 12 games, en route to a 4–12 record. The Rams also went 1–7 at home in 2016, their worst home record since going 0–8 at home in their 1–15 2009 season. The Rams also missed the playoffs for the 12th straight season, the third longest current streak in the NFL. Only the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns had longer postseason droughts.

2017 Los Angeles Rams season

The 2017 season was the Los Angeles Rams' 80th in the National Football League (NFL), their 81st overall, their 51st in the Greater Los Angeles Area and their first under head coach Sean McVay. The Rams improved on their 4–12 record from the previous season. With a win over the Arizona Cardinals, the Rams ended a decade-long drought and clinched their first winning season since 2003 and first playoff appearance since 2004, when the club was based in St. Louis. The team played a game in London, England at Twickenham Stadium against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7 as one of the NFL London Games. For the second consecutive year, the Rams started out in first place in the NFC West with a 3–1 record. The Los Angeles Rams also scored 107 points in the first three games of the season, the second highest in franchise history and a league leader. Furthermore, the team went from being dead last in total offense the previous season with an NFL-low 224 points to becoming the highest scoring team in the league in 2017 with an average of 29.9 points per game and 478 total points scored - tops in both categories. On Christmas Eve, the Rams defeated the Tennessee Titans 27–23 in a Super Bowl XXXIV rematch to clinch the NFC West for the first time since 2003 and their first playoff berth since 2004. This was also their first playoff appearance as the Los Angeles Rams since the 1989 season and their first division title as the Los Angeles Rams since the 1985 season.

2018 Los Angeles Rams season

The 2018 season was the Los Angeles Rams' 81st in the National Football League (NFL), their 82nd overall, their 52nd in the Greater Los Angeles Area and their second under head coach Sean McVay. The Rams were the NFC Champions, finishing with a record of 13–3, improving on their 11–5 record from the 2017 season. The team won its first eight games of the season (its best start since 1969) before losing to the Saints in Week 9. After defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 54–51 in Week 11, the third highest-scoring game in NFL history, and a 30–16 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 13, the Rams clinched the NFC West for the second consecutive year, giving Los Angeles its first back-to-back division titles since 1978 and 1979 and consecutive playoff berths for the first time since the 2003 and 2004, when the franchise was based in St. Louis. The Rams ended the regular season tied with New Orleans for the NFL's best record at 13–3. The 13 regular season wins was tied for the second-most in franchise history (along with the 1999 season, only trailing the Rams' 14-win campaign in 2001) and is the most wins in a season for a Los Angeles-based professional football team (as the Rams played in St. Louis in 1999 and 2001). The Rams started their playoff run by defeating the Dallas Cowboys 30–22 in the Divisional Round to advance to the NFC Championship Game. This would be their first NFC Championship Game appearance since 2001 as the St.

2019 Los Angeles Rams season

The 2019 season was the Los Angeles Rams' 82nd in the National Football League (NFL), their 83rd overall, their 53rd in the Greater Los Angeles Area and their third under head coach Sean McVay. It also marked the Rams' final season playing their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, as the team moved into SoFi Stadium in Inglewood beginning with the 2020 season alongside the Los Angeles Chargers. They entered the season as the defending NFC champions looking to bounce back after their Super Bowl LIII loss to the New England Patriots. Although the Rams' temporary stadium was officially known as United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum this season, the team removed any references to the corporate sponsor due to a team sponsorship from one of its competitors, American Airlines. Despite starting the season at 3–0, the Rams lost 7 of their final 13 games and, after a 34–31 loss to their NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers in Week 16, were eliminated from playoff contention for the first time since 2016. This was their first non-playoff season under head coach Sean McVay.

2020 Los Angeles Rams season

The 2020 season was the Los Angeles Rams' 83rd season in the National Football League, their 84th overall, their 54th in the Greater Los Angeles Area, and their fourth under head coach Sean McVay. It also marks the team's first season playing their home games at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, which the team shares with the Los Angeles Chargers. They improved on their 9–7 season from the previous year after a Week 17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, returning to the playoffs after missing out last season. The Rams' strong defense finished the year with just 296 points allowed, the fewest in the league. In the Wild Card round, the Rams defeated the rival Seattle Seahawks 30–20, advancing to the Divisional round, but lost to the top-seeded Green Bay Packers by a score of 32–18.

2021 Los Angeles Rams season

The 2021 season was the Los Angeles Rams' 84th season in the National Football League, their 85th overall, their 55th in the Greater Los Angeles Area, the second playing their home games at SoFi Stadium and their fifth under head coach Sean McVay. The Rams improved upon their 10–6 record from the previous season after a win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16, and clinched their second consecutive playoff berth the same week. Despite going through a three-game losing streak in November, and a Week 18 overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers that involved blowing a 17–0 lead at home, the Rams won their division for the first time since 2018. In the playoffs, the Rams easily defeated the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card round 34–11 and knocked out the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a close 30–27 contest in the divisional round. In the NFC Championship Game, the Rams played the aforementioned divisional rival San Francisco 49ers, winning 20–17 (after getting swept by them in the regular season) and advanced to Super Bowl LVI that was to be played at SoFi Stadium, becoming only the second team ever to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium. With this, it was also the second straight year a team played the Super Bowl in its home stadium. The Rams won their second Super Bowl overall, defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 23–20 to win their first Super Bowl since 1999, and also won the franchise's first title (including pre-merger) as a Los Angeles-based team since 1951 and fourth overall. Coincidentally, to make it to the Super Bowl in their home stadium, the Rams had to get past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the first team to accomplish the feat a year earlier. This was the Rams' first season since 2015 without quarterback Jared Goff on the roster, as he was traded with draft picks to the Detroit Lions in exchange for Matthew Stafford.
